Was anyone's diagnosis of Celiac Disease prompted from iron deficiency anemia. I have had issues with low iron since at least my early twenties. I'm now 29, and trying to figure out the cause of the anemia so I can control it. I have moderate anemia (but borderline sever) and have a lot of symptoms from it. I came across Celiac Disease in my search of answers and thought, maybe this is it! Did any of you have iron deficiency anemia prediagnosis of Celiac Disease? I do eat iron rich foods, so the anemia is not due to poor diet.

For a few years i have had many symptoms, was diagnosed with Diabetes and Celiac Disease (an autoimmune disorder) and I have symptoms such as bone/joint pain, tiredness, fatigue, back/neck/shoulder pain, headaches in the back of the head, anxiety, depression, a ****** rash that seems to worsen with sun exposure, heat and sun sensitivity and I had a few Lupus tests about two years ago that came back negative.

These symptoms and many others seem to come and go, such as the neck pain it will come and go in intervals of few weeks. Now I had a ANA test done two weeks ago because my rheumatologist was concerned that Lupus is still a possibility. I had to go get my results on Tuesday but from a different doctor, a general practitioner and seemed to not know anything about medicine.

She told me all my tests were negative and i did not believe it, so I asked her if she was sure so she sowed me the results on the computer screen and I saw several positive or "high" tests. One of them was ANA, it was possitive, so i asked her what that meant and she said 'its nothing, its a nonspecific test, dont worry about it"... is this true? should I not worry about it? and if it is so not important, why did my rheumatologist order it in the first place?

Can you have only ANA test positive and no other antibody for lupus and still have Lupus?

Hi, I take fluticasone 133mcg for asthma. I've been sickly pretty much all my life and after some 10 years of blood tests showing nothing, my doc tested me for celiac. My igA was below normal levels so she tested the igG and igM and they were all well below normal. My CBC was normal; only the antibodies. I'm scheduled for more tests to try and pin down why I'm deficient (HIV negative, btw)...

Is it at all possible that flovent, being a corticosteroid, has any affect on igA, igG, igM?? I'm not taking any other meds except lamictal.
I will definitely mention it to the doc, although she'll have probably considered this. On second thought, I think that these drugs would reduce white blood cells, not the proteins themselves. That's probably why my doctor didn't mention the flovent.

My son is 11 and has had diarrhea for 4 months now and counting.He has no other sympotoms exept pain right before an attack then feels finer after he goes to the bathroom. Its once a day usually after dinner but not almost but mostly. We tried no dairy, tried diff foods and diff times still diarrhea. Dr did all kinds of blood and bowel tests for bacterias, parasites, celiac(sp) and all came out fine. Hes sceduled to go to a GI but untill then any one have any ideas or gone through this before??? Hes not on any meds except insulin since he is a type 1 diabetic. Im worried, Im confused and not sure how much more reasearch I can do. Drs dont always know it all I guess so Im relying on you guys :-) Thanks all.

I had to get blood taken because the doctors thought that something was wrong with my growing. They did tests and they think I have Celiac Disease.
