If youre not digesting the rice, there are 3 possibilities. Either you're not cooking it properly, so it is harder to digest, or possibly you have colon damage which is preventing you digesting it properly - which may be permanent (this is the third possibility).

Do you cook the rice until it is as soft as white rice normally is when cooked? If not, try this recipe: to each cup of rice add 2 and a quarter cups of water, salt and other seasonings to taste. Bring to the boil, put the lid on the pan and turn the heat down to the lowest (or even off). If you have turned it off, you can go away and come back in 40 minutes or so and you will find it lovely and fluffy and all the water will be gone (this won't work in a cold kitchen). If you are leaving it on the heat, check it every 10 minutes, just moving the rice aside with a fork to see whether there is liquid left in the pan. If there is, put the lid back on and come back in another 10 minutes. The rice should be fluffy and cooked when there is no liquid left.

Another cereal you can try besides quinoa is millet, and also oats which are labeled as having been processed in a gluten free facility.

I am sorry but you need to get to a gastroenterologist ASAP. A MD who will be able to test the blood & make sure you don't have cancer! Very dark blood can be from your stomach, colon, bowel, etc. They will probably want to do several tests.

No doctor of any kind should see a patient for 1 1/2 years without seeing improvement & hearing about the symptoms you have. It sounds like you are not able to digest any food!!

Pls see another doctor.

Good luck to you.
